Happy Birthday Sport
We don’t really celebrate birthdays at Nottingham Sport, call us apathetic if you dare, but if we did, we would be celebrating every day through the Twittersphere and social walls of the internet, after all, someone somewhere is always saying ‘happy birthday’ to someone somewhere on any given day, so if we did this just once, to Brian Kilcline or Brian Rice, to Becky Adlington or Becky Downie, we would probably end up doing it a thousand times and more per year to anyone else with a tedious link to our county, and we simply haven’t got the man (or woman) power to acknowledge them all, but perhaps we’ll make an exception for our own.
It was on this day, the 22nd October 2019 when we launched our website, two years ago. Unofficially of course, the unveiling was 1st November and a week or so later, but the day the decision was made, to hit the airwaves and supply Nottingham and the county of Nottinghamshire, with a much needed, rounded, sports site, was the day we begun, and reflect back on, and celebrate, to what we have today.
So to keep it short and brief, we don’t want ‘thank you’s’ and ‘accolades’, but instead would like to assure you we’ll carry on supplying the need to produce good quality news and journalism from all our writers as we hope to promote as much ‘across the board’ sport within the county as we can, and we as always urge you to get in touch, to have a moan if your team or favourite athlete is not featuring as much as they should, if you are keen to come on board with us, or assist in anyway.
We’ll continue through 2021 and beyond, to keep producing, to keep highlighting, to keep promoting the great sporting successes of our county, and if you keep reading, we’ll hopefully see you again, same time next year, with exactly the same sort of message.
Thanks for being part of our journey, long may our relationship continue… Happy Birthday to anyone that shares one with us today!
