Forest Sign Da Costa
Nottingham Forest have signed Cape Verde international striker Nuno Da Costa from French side Strasbourg for an undisclosed fee.
The 28 year old answers questions posed by many fans as they targeted a replacement for Rafa Mir who recently moved back to Wolves after a loan spell didn’t work out and to offer main striker Lewis Grabban a back up and some competition as the Reds chase their promotion dream.
Da Costa has only one Ligue 1 goal this season in 14 matches having made only four starts after netting 8 in 34 last season but will be hoping for more game time with Forest as they race towards the business end of the season.
The 28 year old has pace and is a technical player who likes to run at defenders who is also a threat from set plays which with his height can be put to use in both boxes.
On arriving at the club Da Costa stated “new year, new team, new goals” saying he’s “happy to sign for NFFC”.
Meanwhile outgoing news for Nottingham Forest who have parted ways with Claudio Yacob after mutually terminating his contract. The 32 year old Argentine has joined Nacional in Uruguay after playing just 17 games for the Reds.
