Walker Joins Magpies
Notts County have signed midfielder Tom Walker on loan from Harrogate Town until January 3rd.
The club have strengthened their midfield department which is light of depth ahead of a challenging festive period and 24 year old Walker will add strength in an important area of the park as well as experience for one so young having played twelve matches this season for the Sulphurites although he’s been largely used as a substitute during league matters.
Walker has National League experience having signed for Harrogate from AFC Fylde in the summer and before that the 6ft Salford born star played for his home town club in between spells at Stockport County and FC United of Manchester.
Having made 20 appearances for Bolton Wanderers as a teenager (including 18 in the Championship) he joined Bury on loan before a first spell at Stockport ahead of joining FC United and Salford City where he was part of the class of 92 revolution that saw the Ammies reach League Two from the National League North.
A player with an eye for goal, he will provide huge boost to the squad over a heavy period of upcoming matches and healthy competition for the likes of Jake Reeves, Jim O’Brien and Michael Doyle as well as immediate cover for the injured Callum Roberts.
