Double Defeat For Beeston

Beeston men drew with Reading 2-2 at the Nottingham Hockey Centre on Saturday with both teams taking a point a piece from the match in soaked conditions.

Bottom of the table Reading took the lead on 17 minutes before doubling the advantage on 30 but two goals from Chris Proctor helped square things up and save the Bees from defeat.

In the Investec Womens Hockey League Premier Division Beeston were beaten 1-0 on Sunday by Loughborough Students.

Beeston now lie second bottom in the table four points ahead of Bowden with five defeats and two wins from their seven games played.

The women now face Holcombe a week on Saturday whilst the men also face the trip to Rochester to face the same opposition a day later.
