Chesterfield 1-0 Notts County (National League) 26.10.19
Notts County were beaten by Chesterfield in front of the BT cameras on Saturday evening ending a six game unbeaten run but despite the defeat Notts were still praised by Spirites Manager John Sheridan who stated “I think (Notts) will definitely be up there at the end of the season”.
It was a wet occasion at the Proact Stadium but Notts shown a lot of promise keeping possession and largely outplaying their hosts but a goal by Gevaro Nepomuceno on the half hour gave Sheridan’s men something to cling onto and the Derbyshire based team eventually held out to take all the points.
Notts now will look to bounce back at Woking tomorrow night and with the Surrey outfit in 6th position a win would be vital to see the Magpies in eighth leapfrog their opponents and revitalise their promotion push at the earliest attempt.
The match at the Kingfield Stadium will kick off at 7:45pm.
