Walsall 1-2 Mansfield Town (EFL League Two) 26.10.19
Mansfield Town were back to winning ways this weekend with a 2-1 win at Walsall jumping the club up five places in the League 2 table to 14th.
Goalkeeper Conrad Logan stated that “it was a big team performance” as the side got over letting a first half lead slip to regain control and defend what they had to take all the points back to Nottinghamshire.
Andy Cook headered home one half an hour before Walsall’s Adebayo netted to level just before the break.
On 68 however Alex MacDonald grabbed his first goal since March belting home as the Stags broke on the counter-attack and the away side saw off the job with a solid defensive display and might have furthered their lead in the dying minutes.
The Stags next match is this Saturday at the One Call Stadium as they take on Colchester United who are currently 3 points above the Yellow & Blues in 9th spot in the league.
