Young Red Joins Hereford On Loan

Nottingham Forest youngster Victor Sodeinde has joined Hereford on a loan deal with the confident forward looking to continue his recent scoring form in the National League North.

The 19 year old striker signed his first professional contract at Forest in January 2018 and has played an important role in Jimmy Gilligan’s under 23 side that sits top of the Professional Development League and his now hoping to team up with Bulls Manager Russell Slade who has described Victor as “powerful, quick, effective and has a good physical presence”.

Sodeinde stated “I’m looking forward to getting going at seeing what I can achieve” at Hereford who are currently 9th in the table at step six of the football pyramid.

Without Sodeinde Forest were held to a goalless draw on Monday against second place Crewe in their U23’s match that keeps the Reds top by just two points from ten matches played.

The Forest side included new signing Liam Sole who joined the club on a short term contract. Sole was released by MK Dons in the summer and impressed enough as a trialist for the Reds to gain a contract earlier this week.

Meanwhile Saturday’s postponed first team fixture at home to Reading has been re-arranged by the EFL to be played on Tuesday 21st January with a 7:45pm kick off.
