The Buckingham Insurance Central Midlands League Challenge Cup last sixteen draw has been made today with plenty of Nottinghamshire teams involved as they bid to cement a quarter final place.
Amongst the ties Linby Colliery Welfare of the Black Dragon South Premier Division face Derbyshire’s Staveley Miners Welfare of the North Division whilst struggling Southern side Underwood Villa host high flying Northerners from Yorkshire Dinnington Town.
Retford United who beat Cromford & Wirksworth Town 7-1 in the last round face Long Eaton United Community of Division One South whilst Teversal Reserves host Ashland Rovers in an all Nottinghamshire affair.
Finally of the Notts clubs involved Sherwood Colliery Reserves visit Clay Cross Town who not only lead the Southern Division but also take on Sherwood’s first team in FA Vase action tonight.
Meanwhile Nottingham FC have been awarded the leagues fair play award for Division One North in October.
