Samit Patel and Tom Moores are Nottinghamshire’s latest exports with both jetting off to play in this years T10 league in the United Arab Emirates.
The tournament in Abu Dhabi hosted by the Emirates Cricket Board which will be played between the 15th and 24th November features two groups of four teams with a playoffs and final and is in its third edition following last years win by Northern Warriors and the year previous victory by Kerala Kings.
For all-rounder Patel who joins Qalanders it will be his second stint in the Emirates after representing Rajputs in 2018. The Leicester born star stated ahead of his move “It’s always good to rub shoulders with some of the best players in the world and test yourself against them” whilst Moores will join Bangla Tigers after previously playing for Punjabi Legends said “I think it suits the way I play and I’m really looking forward to it”.
Patel and Moores join Notts bowler Harry Gurney who joins his new Trent Rockets teammates Luke Wright and Lewis Gregory at Team Abu Dhabi whilst former Notts star Hashim Amla captains Karnataka Tuskers.
