City Ground Public Exhibition

Nottingham Forest will host a public exhibition at the City Ground’s European Lounge in the Brian Clough Stand on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th November on the clubs redevelopment proposals to the Main Stand and surrounding areas.

The club stated “Since the announcement in March 2019 of the agreement with Nottingham City Council for an extended lease, the club has engaged specialist advisers to undertake detailed surveys and design work to prepare a scheme that is deliverable and will provide a world-class sporting facility. Discussions have also taken place with Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to inform the scheme.”

The public exhibition will take place between 10am and 8pm on Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturday and following the drop in sessions free for fans to attend the club is then expected to submit planning permission and should it be granted the construction could even begin during the first half of 2020.

Prior to this the clubs focus is very much on the big derby match this weekend in a sell out clash at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon as Sabri Lamouchi’s men buoyed by their win at the weekend take on bitter rivals Derby County in a 12:30pm kick off.

The Reds will issue a special matchday programme to those that have lost their lives in war whilst the two teams will be led out by Private Derby, the Mercian Regiments famous mascot, before a minutes silence once the Last Post has been played by a bugler.

There will also be a food bank where supporters are encouraged to take donations to help those in need living in the city with particular focus for breakfast items for children.

Supporters can donate items to the collection point based next to the Family Red Zone at the rear of the Brian Clough Stand from 10.30am onwards on Saturday.

Those that can’t make the match can watch it live on Sky Sports instead with a potential home win taking the Reds to within two points of leaders West Bromwich Albion for a couple of hours at least.
