Northern Premier League South East Division leaders Carlton Town face struggling Market Drayton Town tomorrow with the chance to pull away from the chasing pack weather permitting of course.
With rain in the air the possibility of the game at Stoke Lane being called off is high but if the game does get the go ahead ticket prices start from £3 for the visit of the Shropshire opponents who lie in 19th place.
Drayton have won their last two games including last time out against Wisbech but Carlton have been in terrific form this season and lie a point ahead of second placed Cleethorpes from 12 games played each and two ahead of Ilkeston in third but having played two less games.
Worksop who in tenth are consolidating well in their first season back in the Northern Premier League following promotion in the summer have the short trip to Stocksbridge Park Steels although supporters are recommended to check before they travel as that game in South Yorkshire could also fall foul to the weather.
In the Midlands Premier Division Newark Flowserve in fifth place travel to leaders Walsall Wood in a tough looking encounter but the Nottinghamshire side spurred on by their cup exploits last weekend against Rugby will be hopeful of continuing some recent fine form and a win for the tangerines could see Newark leapfrog their opponents who are level with Heather St Johns just two points ahead a chasing pack of four teams in what looks a very tight division.
Selston FC are also scheduled for Midland League action as they host AFC Wulfrunians at the Parish Hall Ground. The North Notts side are currently 19th in the 20 team league on six points from eleven played and a win would very much do the side a world of good as they look to avoid the drop zone.
In the Northern Counties East League Premier Division AFC Mansfield have a tough home match against leaders Penistone Church. The Bulls lie second from bottom in the table on eleven points from eleven games and face title hopefuls Penistone off the back of four straight league defeats although they did have success in cup football over the last seven days beating Long Buckby in the FA Vase before a penalties win over Maltby Main in the NCEL League Cup on Tuesday night.
At Step 10 of the football pyramid Retford FC of the NCEL Division One travel to Hall Road Rangers whilst Ollerton Town have a tasty home tie against 2015 FA Trophy winners North Ferriby.
In East Midlands Counties League action leaders Sherwood Colliery travel to Leicestershire to play Ingles. Gedling MW who are in 4th on the same points as Sherwood having played two more matches host Barrow Town whilst in an all Notts affair Radford who are fifth take on Kimberley Miners Welfare who drew 4-4 with Hucknall Town in midweek.
Hucknall themselves face a trip to Clipstone whilst Rainworth host West Bridgford and Teversal welcome Heanor Town.
Finally Dunkirk travel to Shirebrook after a gallant midweek FA Vase performance at Worcester City whilst Clifton All Whites visit Graham Street Prims.
All the above games are weather permitting and we advise you to check with the local leagues if the games will be on nearer to kick off.
