Notts Hoping For Three Points

Notts County are hoping for three points tonight as they take on Boreham Wood following back to back league defeats for the first time this season having taken just one point from their last three games.

Manager Neal Ardley has stated to his team ‘not to panic’ as he said “My message to the players is ‘don’t stop believing, let’s not become a team that scraps for points in a way that evens the playing field’.

Notts are waiting on the fitness of Connell Rawlinson whilst left back Damien McCrory has a fractured finger and recent signing Alex Lacey a tight hamstring.

Boreham Wood are currently a place behind Notts in twelfth with the Magpies just one point ahead on 31 points. A win for the home team tonight could take them as high as eighth but a defeat could see them slip further down the table and heap pressure on the Manager who says there is no crisis.

“We were on a run of three defeats in 19 games – that shows we were doing something right and we can’t come away from that just because we’ve lost a couple.

“We’ve done well and can’t press the panic button because we’ve had a couple of indifferent results.

“We’re not on the verge of a crisis. We’ve had a bad week but, by the end of this one, we can turn it into a good one.”

Kick Off at Meadow Lane tonight is 7:45pm and tickets are available with adult prices £22 and all concessions below £16 with anyone between the age of 8-12 paying just £1 and under sevens go free.

Finally Notts have been drawn away at Chesterfield in the first round of the FA Trophy. The two sides met in October with the Spirites winning 1-0. A confirmed date for the tie will be named but should be played over the weekend starting 14th December.
