Arnold Through In Senior Cup

After a couple of postponements Arnold Town finally got their Notts FA Senior Cup round two tie against Attenborough played and the Eagles were comprehensive winners last night seeing off their NSL opponents comfortably winning 6-1.

The win for Arnold see’s them paired up with another home tie at Eagle Valley in round three as they face Southwell City also of the Notts Senior League and in a draw made live on air last night on Notts TV the five other ties for the next stage were also decided.

Awsworth Villa will host old league foes West Bridgford whilst Newark Town have a tricky tie at home to Eastwood Community with NSL leaders Bingham Town hosting Ashland Rovers of the Central Midlands League. After their win in the Vase last night Newark Flowserve were drawn favourably at home against Teversal whilst should either AFC Dunkirk or Magdala Amateurs win their match tonight they will face a home tie against Rainworth Miners Welfare in round three.

The six winners of the ties in round three will face the 12 seeded teams in round four including under 23 teams from the likes of Mansfield and Notts County and the first teams of holders Basford United and last years runners up Carlton Town.

Ties will be played week commencing 17th December 2019.

In the Womens version of the Senior Cup both Nottingham Forest teams have avoided each other with home ties against strong local outfits. Forest Reserves host Arnold Ladies whilst the firsts have a repeat of last seasons final against Ollerton Town Ladies with ties to be played from February 16th 2020.
