Nottingham Panthers travel down to Guildford Flames tonight (7:30pm face off) knowing anything better than a four goal defeat will see them through to the semi finals of the Challenge Cup.
The Panthers comfortably beat the Flames 5-1 at the Motorpoint Arena last week setting up a second leg in Surrey with one aim, to get through the tie.
Panthers Director of Hockey Gui Doucet said his side will be looking to bounce back after defeat against Manchester Storm on Sunday suggesting “I was miserable on Sunday and the fans saw it on my face at the shirt auction but with all these games coming up there’s no time to dwell on it. There’s a cup semi-final berth up for grabs in Guildford and then there are lots of league points through to the New Year, starting on Saturday when the Dundee Stars visit us.”
“The fans can help by coming in numbers and we can help the fans by upping our game from nearly winning to actually winning. We didn’t cash in on the away victory in Cardiff last weekend but we can do so at the other December games.”
With plenty of opportunities to see the Panthers at the Motorpoint Arena over Christmas you can book tickets and bring your family to the game by calling the box office on 0843 373 3000 or by checking out the fixtures and availability online here.
