Nottingham Forest’s City Ground will be host to the FA Womens Super League Continental Cup Final on Saturday 29th February with a 5:30pm Kick Off announced.
The competition is now at the semi-final stage with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all involved guaranteeing a top draw final between two huge clubs Trentside.
The City Ground is no stranger to hosting womens football finals having held four FA Cup Finals in the past originally smashing the record in 2007 for the highest attended womens FA Cup Final hosting over 24,000 two years on the trot which has only been beaten by Wembley Stadium since 2015.
The womens League Cup is in its ninth year with only two previous winners Arsenal having won five times and Manchester City winning three finals. Current holders are City who beat Arsenal in last seasons final on penalties after a 0-0 draw in front of just 2,424 at Brammall Lane. The highest attendance for a League Cup final was in 2015 when Arsenal beat Notts County Ladies 3-0 at the New York Stadium, Rotherham in front of 5,028.
