Woodthorpe Park Rangers moved back to the top of the Premier Division of the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, as a Markell Bailey effort saw them past Wollaton 1-0 while previous incumbents Southwell City could only draw 3-3 at FC Cavaliers. City went ahead through Ben Selby but they were pegged back before the break by Zibusiso Sibanda. A Bradley Peace-McDonald brace put Southwell back in the ascendency by the hour mark but then two goals within the 82nd minute from Blessing Adeleye and Abdou Cole restored parity and that’s how it stayed.
AFC Dunkirk were unable to make up any ground on the top two as they went down 2-1 at Cotgrave. Second half goals from Ben Gathercole and Kyle Waddell did the damage for the home side with Kieran Diver’s late strike for Dunkirk proving a mere consolation.
Josh Gardner scored his second goal in as many games to hand Burton Joyce a 1-0 win at Calverton Miners Welfare while Keyworth United saw off Bilborough Town 3-0 thanks to Scott Litchfield (2) and Lee Potts.
Attenborough’s new management team picked up three points at the first time of asking as they came away from Stapleford Town with a 3-2 win. Sam Poole opened the scoring for Boro before Adam Hassell levelled matters with his head. A hectic seven minute spell midway through the second half saw Bailey Walker put the visitors back in front then Danny Beardsley double the lead before Michael Robb halved the arrears but that was the last of the scoring.
Magdala Amateurs recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season as they overcame Eastwood CFC Development 4-1 with goals from Tom Haw (2), Matt Daley and Ellis Carter. Mitchell Williams pulled one back for Eastwood with the last kick of the game.
In Division One, AFC Top Valley remain 13 points clear at the top after they won 2-1 at Radford Reserves while second placed West Bridgford AFC came away from Robin Hood Colts as 4-2 victors, including a brace for Marcus Browne.
Beeston saw off Hucknall Town Development 3-0 and there were two goals apiece for Joe Hegarty and Jack Millward for Radcliffe Olympic in their 6-2 win over Bridgford United.
Kirton Brickworks won 2-0 at Southwell City Reserves.
United Grays extended their lead in Division Two to six points following their 2-1 win over Keyworth United Reserves and Stapleford Town Reserves drawing 2-2 with AFC Dunkirk Reserves.
Ruddington Village are a further two points behind after their 1-0 victory against Cotgrave Reserves but they have five games in hand over the division leaders.
John Revell grabbed a hat-trick for Barrowby as they came away from Bilborough Town Community with a 7-1 win.
Pythian edged past Elston United 2-1 while Brad Martin notched twice for Ravenshead Reds in their 6-1 win over Clifton All Whites Development.
Shaun Smith also bagged a brace for Beeston Old Boys Association as they beat bottom club Burton Joyce Reserves 3-1.
