McCrory & Booty To Miss Playoffs

Notts County midfielder Regan Booty will miss the playoffs through injury after a recurrence of a back injury that has troubled him this season.

Booty stated “Absolutely gutted to be ruled out of the play offs due to injury but I’ll be supporting the boys every step of the way and hope we can achieve what we set out to do from the start of the season which is getting this club back where it belongs”.

The 22-year-old joins left back Damien McCrory on the sidelines after the Irishman underwent surgery on a knee injury recently with Notts quick to find a replacement for him by extending the loan of youngster Joel Bagan from Cardiff City.

Following the re-signing of Bagan, Notts Manager Neal Ardley said “We’ve spoken to Cardiff, the FA and Joel and everyone’s really keen for him to come back in. He’s kept himself fit and has looked good in the running. Hopefully he’ll push for his spot.”

Another of Notts loan signings Scott Wilson has agreed a short term contract with the club after being released by his parent club Oldham Athletic at the start of this month.

Notts will face either Barnet or Yeovil in the National League Playoff semi-finals at Meadow Lane on Saturday 25th July.
