Beeston Hockey Club have teamed up with Notts TV to show all of their men and women’s first team home fixtures in the England Hockey Premier Division for the 2020/21 campaign.
Following approval from England Hockey, the Freeview channel will show games from the previous weekend highlighted on a Wednesday night which are currently aired live on Beeston’s club website through Bee TV. The league are currently hopeful of getting underway in September as normal but have a revised plan in place should that date come to soon following lockdown measures.
Delighted with the deal to show Bees matches, Owen Shipton of Notts TV stated “Beeston Hockey Club deserves great credit for the role it plays in the development of the sport locally and nationally. This partnership means our viewers will get to see coverage of top-flight action and Olympic-level athletes for free, and reflects our ambition to bring the best of Notts sport to as big an audience as possible.”
Whilst David Griffiths, Deputy Chairman of Beeston Hockey Club, equally as excited said “For us, this is a moment of vindication, that our hard work to introduce regular live coverage of Men’s and Women’s Premier Division hockey, has clearly paid off. It’s exactly what players of such a high standard deserve and we’ll continue to work hard to make our coverage as exciting as possible.”
