County Make Cuts To Squad
As quick as we brought you news earlier today on who we thought the Magpies should keep it seems that there will be several changes next season as Notts County release a number of players from their present squad.
Mitch Rose, Regan Booty, Zoumana Bakayogo, Tom Crawford and Scott Wilson have all been told their services are no longer required with on loan Joel Bagan and Adam Long both returning to their parent clubs ahead of the new campaign.
There are several players out of contract who have been offered a new deal including Michael Doyle, Richard Brindley, Kristian Dennis, Dion Kelly-Evans, Sam Osborne, Joe McDonnell and Alex Lacey.
Regan Booty just one of the players let go stated after hearing the news “From the minute I joined this football club, my love for the game was instantly back again, from all the highs and lows this season it’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of such a special group, I’m sure the lads will get the club back where it belongs next season.”
He furthered “The club is full of amazing people both football wise and behind the scenes and hopefully that transpires in the club getting back in to the football league, everyone who has worked so hard over the last 12 months deserves that reward 100%”
The five released players are in addition to the squad letting go eleven players during lockdown as the club look to cut their costs moving forward.
