Four Nottinghamshire Cricketers will play for the Lightening team that will represent the East Midlands in this summers Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy with one match played against Thunder at Trent Bridge on Saturday 29th August.
Lucy Higham, Shachi Pai, Sophie Munro and Teresa Graves have all been named in the squad of 15 that will take part in the 50 over competition with eight teams representing all areas of the country split into two groups playing home and away with a final on 26th September.
In the North Group Lightening will play their first game in Nottingham against Thunder, a side representing the North West including Lancashire and Cumbria before facing the Northern Diamonds in Durham and then at Grace Road before playing the Central Sparks twice in between the return match with Thunder.
Only one home game for Lightening will be played in Notts with two at Grace Road with the final venue still to be confirmed.
Captain of Notts in last summer’s T20 Vitality Blast was Lucy Higham who has taken over 100 List A and T20 wickets with right armer Sophie Munro a recent addition into the England set up.
Teresa Graves has been at Notts for two years whilst Shachi Patel returns to the county after seven years with Lancashire, both are currently studying at Loughborough University where the Lightening team are largely based.
