Notts Aiming For Finals Day Place

Notts Outlaws will be hoping the rain stays away later today as they take on Leicestershire Foxes in their Vitality Blast T20 Quarter Finals match at Trent Bridge.

The winner will reach the finals day at Edgbaston this Saturday with all the semi final places up for grabs today as Surrey take on Kent, Sussex host Lancashire and Gloucestershire welcome Northamptonshire in the three other matches at this stage.

Notts were beaten by Leicesteshire at Grace Road in the Outlaws penultimate match of the North Group but with green and golds already through by then, focus was perhaps not as it usually were as they failed to chase down a usually catchable target to their star batsmen of 163.

At Trent Bridge in early September the Notts bowlers restricted the Leicestershire score to 123 before casually catching up to win with five overs to spare. A performance like that would certainly do tonight.

The game is live on Sky and the two sides will be hoping the weather stays dry and you can see all the action from 6pm.
