More Big Names In At Panthers

A busy few days in negotiating contracts for the next season ahead and Nottingham Panthers are delighted to confirm the captures of a few players that’ll whet the appetite of fans upon their return to the Motorpoint Arena when the 2021/22 campaign gets under way in the Autumn.

The league season is set to start on the 25th and 26th September, running through to the following April where the Panthers will hope to be again involved in the playoffs.

Confirmed to the roster last week were defenceman Steve Lee who most recently played for Guildford Flames, as well as Josh Tetlow and Ollie Betteridge and added to that is Kevin Domingue who scored twenty points during the Elite Series success with another returning star, Mathieu Tousignant who after a covid hit campaign during 2019/20 left the Panthers to play for Romanian outfit SC Csikszereda where he racked up 68 points in 68 games whilst winning the Erste Liga Playoffs.

Also, young netminder Will Kerlin who has represented Great Britain at U18 and U20 levels, will return to the squad having impressed in attitude the likes of Tim Wallace and Gui Doucet whilst fellow British starlet Jordan Kelsall, just 21 years old, will also be back for the new season ahead.

On re-signing the experienced Canadian forward Tousignant, Panthers Director of Hockey, Doucet stated “we are looking forward to seeing what he can do over a full season” whilst the capture of fellow countryman Domingue said “I’m very much looking to build on the performances in the Elite Series and doing it in front of big crowds at the Motorpoint Arena from September”.
