An exciting, new pairing, have been brought in at Beeston Hockey Club recently, with James Sordillo having strengthened the Women’s team with the additions of Ella Cusack and Cerys Miller.
The duo, formerly with the defending BUCS Hockey champions, Loughborough University, certainly add that little extra to an already, strong, and exciting, Bees Women’s side, who themselves won last season’s England Hockey Cup.
Ella alone brings with her international experience, she having played for both the England U21s, and has been a part of the Great Britain Elite Development Programme, was also the Loughborough University captain, whilst Cerys will add extra strength and power to the Bees frontline.
With Beeston currently looking continue their development and the reaching of new heights, Cusack and Miller join the other two, recent additions to the squad, Charlotte Harmer and Bea Bell.
In welcoming the newest pair to Beeston, Women’s Head Coach, James Sordillo, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Cerys and Ella to the club.
“Both are really talented players, but also really good people.
“I have spent time speaking with both of them and I have been really impressed with them and I have no doubt they are going to contribute to a lot on and off the pitch.
“We wish both Ella and Cerys the very best of luck for the coming season and future years with the club.”
Set to join the Bees’ Ladies Performance Squad, Cusack and Miller will be integrating, and preparing themselves, for the new, English Vitality Premier Division season, which starts in September; all of the Beeston 1st home games will be streamed live on BeeTV.
