The men’s Quarter Finals draw was made last night live on Notts TV for the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup with all three professional teams in the county, Nottingham Forest, Mansfield Town and Notts County all representing, still involved amongst the last eight.

Forest beat Kimberley Miners Welfare in the second round on penalties after a goalless draw at the Stag and will take an U23 side to the Parish Hall Ground where they’ll face United Counties League side Selston who themselves beat Teversal 2-0 in round two.

In perhaps the tie of the round, Mansfield Town will face holders Basford United. A Stags XI edged Rainworth Miners Welfare by a single goal in the last round whilst Basford who won the competition in 2019 (the 2020 & 2021 versions interrupted by Covid), beat Sherwood Colliery 2-1 at Debdale Park to get thus far.

Another cracking tie see’s Notts County against Newark FC, the Magpies beat Hucknall Town on penalties in the last round whilst Newark beat AFC Mansfield the same way, both matches ending in 1-1 draws.

Finally, an all non-league tie between Ollerton Town and Carlton Town makes up the Quarter Finals draw. Ollerton beat Clipston 3-0 in round two whilst Carlton beat Gedling Miners Welfare in a thrilling game at Stoke Lane 4-3.

Ties are to be played between 7^th and 24^th February.
