Forest Sign Davis

Nottingham Forest have signed striker Keinan Davis on loan from Aston Villa until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has 33 games at Premier League level with one goal but also has valuable Championship experience with the Villains and in all has played 87 times for the Birmingham based club scoring seven goals in total since making his debut in 2017.

The 6ft3in Stevenage born star is a physical presence and offers the Reds another option in attack to Lewis Grabban and Lyle Taylor and becomes Head Coach Steve Cooper’s first signing, Davis immediately given the number nine shirt will be ineligible for the match against Barnsley on Monday but could make his debut next weekend in the FA Cup third round tie against Arsenal.

The signing is a major boost after two defeats over the Christmas period without scoring with the player himself stating “It feels good to be here, especially early in the window so I can just hit the ground running and get going straight away.

Davis stated “Forest are a big club who have won major European trophies and their history speaks for itself.

“I want to help improve the team, hopefully keep progressing along the way and see where we are at the end of the season.”
