Hucknall Town drew 0-0 with Shirebrook Town in the United Counties Premier Division North as both sides, struggling so far this season, missed opportunity to earn themselves all three points.
The yellows were the enforcers for much of the afternoon and might have snatched it late on when two chances in stoppage time were missed by Bradley Wells, he had one shot superbly saved before another opportunity was cleared off the line to leave the home side frustrated, Hucknall are now fifteenth in the table on eleven points from twelve games whilst Shirebrook are in seventeenth with nine from their dozen league matches played.
With Eastwood in cup action that gave Lincoln United opportunity go go back to the top of the division as they beat AFC Mansfield 1-0 despite being reduced to ten men late on.
Playoff pushing Newark Town had a convincing 3-0 away win at Sleaford with two Ryan Rushen goals and one from Josh Randall ensuring Town sit fourth on 22 points from 12 their games but nine points behind the leaders.
Ninth placed Newark & Sherwood also had a convincing 3-0 away win at Gresley with goals from Kole Lambert on the stroke of half time and one each from substitutes Luke White on 71 and Benni Wilson on 90.
Second bottom Kimberley Miners Welfare, the remaining Notts based team in the division that played over the weekend, lost 2-1 at home to Bourne Town.
In the Sports Ground Development UCL Cup, Eastwood were beaten 3-2 at Histon whilst Retford FC lost 5-2 at Melton Town and on Sunday, Rainworth Miners Welfare were easily beaten at Hinckley 5-1 to crash out of the competition.
In Division One, Clipstone beat Pinxton 1-0 thanks to a last minute Mike Williams goal to stay top of the division by five points whilst Gedling Miners Welfare in third beat bottom of the table Sandiacre Town 3-1.
Following a 12-3 cup defeat in midweek there was a 2-1 win for Dunkirk at Blackstones whilst Southwell City won at Clifton 4-1.
In another all Notts affair, fourth placed Retford United won at second bottom Selston 4-2 whilst Radford beat Stapleford Town thanks to a second half Abou Sylla strike.
Finally West Bridgford are out of the bottom three after they beat Coalville Town 1-0 thanks to an early Raphael Garrett goal. The Regatta Way based outfit getting their third win of the campaign, they now sit sixteenth on ten points from eleven played.
