The Nottingham Panthers came home pointless after a pair of away games against the Glasgow Clan and the Coventry Blaze.
Nottingham enjoyed early success in Glasgow on Saturday night at the hands of Hugo Roy and Otto Nieminen however Glasgow would pull two back in two minutes including a short handed goal to tie the game heading into the third.
Cole Ully would give the home side the lead just six seconds into the final period then Mitchell Heard doubled that lead with back-to-back powerplay goals for the Clan.
Matt Alfaro would half the gap for the Panthers however in the final 13 minutes they wouldn’t be able to make any more headway in a game they were completely outclassed in.
Nottingham then made the trip down to the West Midlands to face the Coventry Blaze where again they looked out of form and fell victim to a second 4-3 loss of the weekend.
Positives in this game were Sam Herr ending his six game goal drought, Zsombor Garat getting his first point in the league and British duo of Ollie Betteridge and Logan Neislon linking up for an empty net goal.
The Panthers have now lost eight of their last nine games with questions now being asked about the coaching, especially with the success of former assistant coach Kevin Moore with the Blaze.
The upcoming weekend sees the Panthers at home for both games, first against a tough Belfast Giants on Saturday and then what could be a crucial game down the line looking at potential playoff spots against the Manchester Storm.
