Mansfield Draw Newark In Vase
The Third Round of the FA Vase was made at Wembley Stadium today and AFC Mansfield have been drawn at home to Newark Flowserve in what looks like a cracking tie for local football enthusiasts.
Newark beat Rugby Town convincingly in round two on Saturday whilst Mansfield saw off Long Buckby and both are now drawn together in a tie that guarantees a Nottinghamshire club will be in the hat for round four.
Elsewhere should Eastwood Community see off Lutterworth Town this week they’ll face another tough away trip to either Thurnaby Nirvana or Westfields whilst Dunkirk should they get past a tough tie at Worcester City will be awarded a home match up against Shepshed Dynamo or Cadbury Athletic.
The final Nottinghamshire club still in the draw is Sherwood Colliery who face Clay Cross Town away in their rescheduled round two tie. Should the North Notts club gain victory they’ll face either another short trip to Derbyshire to play South Normanton Athletic or it’ll be a visit to Northamptonshire to face Rothwell depending on who wins that.
