Nottingham Forest Women have been drawn away against Derby County in the second round of the Womens FA Cup with the tie taking place on Sunday 1st December 2019.
It’s a fantastic draw for the reds who’s men’s team beat the Rams on Saturday and the girls will be looking to replicate that success by progressing to the third round of the competition this season.
In what was a good weekend for Forest the women fought out a hard earned three points at Burnley to go third in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division seven points behind leaders Sunderland.
In front of 127 fans at the Arbories Memorial Ground it was a 73rd minute strike by Precious Hamilton that was enough to separate the two sides and see Forest leapfrog their opponents in the table.
In the step 5 East Midlands Womens Football League Ollerton Town Ladies beat Mansfield Town Ladies 3-1 at the One Call Stadium in a local derby that saw the away side leapfrog the Stags in the table to fourth place.
Elsewhere Rise Park lost to Northampton Town Ladies 4-2 and stay in 9th place having lost both their league games so far this season.
In the EMWFL Division One North Arnold Town Ladies best Notts County Women Development 2-0 to go third behind the Magpies in second whilst Arnold Eagles beat Sleaford Town Ladies 6-2 in Lincolnshire.
