Nottingham Rugby have signed Sam Hollingsworth from Rotherham Titans in another signing to boost the clubs defensive line.
The Fly Half who is also a specialist kicker, played 22 times for Rotherham last season scoring 128 points for the National 1 third tier team and joins Toby Williams who makes the short trip south to join the Green and Whites this summer.
On signing Hollingsworth, Nottingham Head Coach Neil Fowkes stated on the clubs website “Sam is the sort of player of player that fits our attacking mindset whilst also showing he can manage a game well at National One level with Rotherham and Moseley before that. We are looking forward to developing Sam into a Championship fly half and having spoken with him at length I am sure he will be up to the challenge.”
Hollingsworth joins a number of new players in at the Bay including Willie Ryan who is also formerly of Rotherham whilst Jack Ramshaw, Josh Buggea, Charlie Thacker, Matt Riddington, Jack Stapley and Carl Kirwan have all joined Nottingham with the likes of Harry Strong, Jack Spittle, Will Simonds and Shane O’Leary all leaving for pastures new.
