Brennan Johnson has today completed a season long loan switch to Lincoln City as the youngster moves in order to get more first team football whilst Forest free up some space on a bustling squad of players.
The Reds tonight take on Huddersfield Town later after what has been a terrible start to the season on the pitch, but off it the club feel like things are coming together with twelve new additions over the summer including the recent captures of Cyrus Christie, Harry Arter and Scott McKenna who could all potentially make their debuts this evening.
One of those signings who is in-line for a debut, Cyrus Christie said ahead of the game “We need to hit the ground running; I watched the game the other day and there is always that little hangover that you might have from the upsetting time at the end of last season and it is about getting over that hurdle.”
“Whether it is a scrappy goal or a scrappy 1-0 win, you just need that and I am sure that will give the lads lots more confidence.”
“I’m sure the new lads coming in will hopefully lift the morale and boost the confidence of the squad, and we need to look forward to Friday night and getting the victory.”
Fouad Bachirou and Tiago Silva are still out injured for Forest and won’t be involved tonight whilst Christopher Schindler, Danny Ward & Lewis O’Brien will all be missing for Huddersfield.
Carlos Corberan’s side have like Forest lost both their league matches so far this season so something at the John Smiths Stadium will have to give tonight.
Kick off is at 7:45pm with the match live on Sky Sports.
