Four New Tigers Sign Ahead Of Season

Nottingham Rugby have loaned four players from Leicester Tigers as the green and whites look to bolster their squad ahead of a new Championship season which finally starts in March.

Neil Fowkes side have signed Jordan Coghlan, Joe Browning, Osman Dimen and Emeka Ilione all from their neighbours down the A46 as the quartet will hopefully become available for the complete campaign which includes five home and five away games before a top-two playoff final for promotion in the eleven-team division.

Coghlan is a 6ft4in 17st back rower familiar to Nottingham having previously played for the club on 67 occasions scoring 81 points and who has made 11 appearances for Leicester since signing for them in 2019.

The Dubliner started his career with Leinster before moving to England and has Ireland U20 caps having also played for Munster in the Pro12.

Youngster Browning graduated from Leicester Tigers Academy ahead of the 2019/20 season and has represented England at U18’s level.

Londoner Osman Dimen is a tighthead prop who played for Wasps Academy before joining Leicester from Loughborough University and Emeka Ilione is a Nottingham High School graduate who joined the Tigers aged 13, the highly rated flanker, born in Mansfield, also played football for Nottingham Forest as a boy, rugby for Nottingham Corsairs and has international caps with England at youth level.
