Nottingham To Face Scarlets In Friendly

Nottingham Rugby will travel to South Wales and the Parc y Scarlets on Saturday 4th September to face a mouth watering prospect against two-time Pro14 winner Scarlets.

The Welsh side finished third in their conference last season and will compete in the newly named United Rugby Championship which from the next campaign will include sixteen top sides in rugby union from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Italy and South Africa.

Nottingham have a good recent relationship with Scarlets having loaned Shaun Evans, Harri O’Connor and Jac Price on dual-registration last season, and the teams will do battle ahead of their respective league campaigns in a friendly match that is hoping to be played in front of spectators.

After Head Coach Neil Fowkes was replaced by Craig Hammond at the end of last season, the Green & Whites have seen a number of players move out of the exit door with Luke Frost (Bedford), Ed Coulson, Alex Dolly (Doncaster) and Willie Ryan joining the retiring Owen Hills in packing their bags to move out of Lady Bay.

The club will be hoping to bring more talent in ahead of the new season which starts at home to Ampthill on Saturday 18th September.
