Notts Well Beaten By Torquay

Torquay United 5-1 Notts County (National League) 09.04.22

A terrible day on the southwest coast for Notts County and a long way back from Devon too, following a heavy and disappointing defeat against Torquay.

The Magpies got off to a poor start losing a goal just after only eleven minutes when Armani Little hit the target before Connor Lemonheigh-Evans doubled the home sides advantages with just fourteen gone.

Notts fought back in the second half as they looked to reduce the deficit and struck first through Kyle Wootton on 74 but the Gulls immediately restored their two goal advantage on 77 through Lemonheigh-Evans again.

The double barrel surnamed striker then got his third goal of the game on 85 to put the match beyond any doubt at all, even later on, in the fifth minute of injury time, Armani Little got his second of the match, a memorable one for Torquay who inflict the Magpies biggest loss of the campaign.

One to forget, for Ian Burchnall and co.
