Wildcats Awarded For Super Start

Nottingham Wildcats have been awarded by the Womens British Basketball League for their terrific start to the season as Coach Kenrick Liburd and Centre Jasmine Joyner have picked up the October gongs for Coach & Player of the Month respectively.

The Wildcats lead the National Championship with three wins from three played with Coach Liburd’s team also reaching the semi finals of the WBBL Trophy.

Jasmine Joyner has been in terrific form since lighting up the league in her rookie season last year and became the first ever player in WBBL history to make five successive weekly all-star lineups.

Joyner has averaged over 21 points per game this season and over 14 rebounds per outing with an average of 3.7 blocks per game and 2.8 steels.

The Wildcats will look to make it four from four this weekend as they host Oaklands Wolves at Nottingham Wildcats Arena on Saturday 2nd November with a 5:30pm tip off.
