Winger Wilson Joins Nottingham
Nottingham Rugby have signed winger Curtis Wilson from Doncaster Knights in a move that strengthens the Green and Whites back line as Neil Fowkes’ side add more quality to their line-up ahead of the new season.
The former Sheffield Eagles Rugby League star began his pro career in Union at Yorkshire Carnegie scoring eight tries in 18 appearances before a loan spell at Rotherham Titans whom he eventually joined over three years where he scored 24 tries in 55 games. A former England U18 international the speedy star has huge Championship level experience having also played for Ealing Trailfinders who he played for before his short stint in Rugby League.
Wilson who joined Doncaster in 2017 has had three successful years at the club before joining Nottingham with Green & Whites Head Coach Neil Fowkes stating “Curtis is a great capture for Nottingham. He brings so much experience on the wing at 28 years of age. He’s made over 130 competitive senior appearances, most of which have come in the Championship so he will bring that vital edge for us this coming season.”
Wilson joins a number of new players in at the club ahead of the 2020/21 campaign which is set to start in the Autumn.
