A recent winner of Wisden’s Leading Cricket in the World title, Sciver-Brunt led Trent Rockets for the first time last year.

She and Bryony Smith were both in the top 10 women’s run scorers in 2023, while her unbeaten 81 from 41 balls against London Spirit was the third highest score of the tournament.

Sciver-Brunt said: “The Hundred is a tournament I really look forward to playing in – there is a buzz to the games with so much going on.
“Especially at Trent Bridge, there is always a great party atmosphere and a crowd which really gets behind us. That makes the games so enjoyable to play in, and I know those who have been part of the group over the last few years have loved being a part of it.

“I think we’ve got a good chance of doing well in the competition itself and our fans definitely have a reason to be excited.

“We’ve got genuinely world-class talent and players who set out to entertain and put on a show, which is what The Hundred is all about.”

Gregory, whose side came within a win of qualifying for The Eliminator last year, has his sights set on a return to the top after leading Trent Rockets to the men’s title in 2022.

Head Coach Andy Flower secured the signing of big-hitting West Indian Rovman Powell in The Hundred Draft earlier this year, with Rashid Khan, Joe Root and Alex Hales all retained.

Gregory said: “I can’t wait to get going with Trent Rockets again.

“I think we’ve got a great chance of doing well in the competition this year, with the moves we made in the draft and the backing we get from the crowd at Trent Bridge.

“It’s an incredible atmosphere and we have a lot of players who feed off that, and love to pay back that support with exciting cricket.
“You can feel the energy on the pitch, and with the full package of music and entertainment on offer, I think it makes for an amazing day out for those who watch us.”
