Forest & County Re-Arranged

Nottingham Forest Womens fixture against Notts County Development Ladies has been re-arranged for this Sunday (24th November 2019) at Highfields with a 2pm Kick off weather permitting.

The County Cup Quarter Final match was supposed to take place last weekend but for a waterlogged pitch and will replace the proposed National League North match against Leeds United Women which has now been put back.

Last week NFFC Womens Manager Andy Cook stated “We’re focusing on trying to play our best in the game on Sunday and trying to progress into the next round of the cup.”

“We know bits on the opposition but we mainly just focus on ourselves.”

“We’ve got so much quality in the side that we’ve only got to focus on ourselves and make sure we’re in the right frame of mind and make sure we do what we need to do.”

Current holders Nottingham Forest have won their last five games and face Notts County’s young team who are currently second in the East Midlands Regional League North Division.

Meanwhile after making her debut in the win at Burnley Hollie Barker who signed for Forest from Sheffield United three weeks ago has settled in to Forest life stating “I have absolutely loved every minute of my time here,”

“I have settled in well and that is a credit to my team mates and the staff for making me feel so welcome.”

“Enjoying my football is my main priority and that is exactly what I am doing!”

Barker said “The structure, organisation and professionalism of this club is very impressive, probably the best I have been in if I am honest,”

The 28 year old defender has already one eye on a tasty encounter between Forest and Derby County in the FA Womens Cup a week Sunday (December 1st) stating “A derby game is always a game you want to be involved in, these are always massive. A lot of the girls are Forest fans so they are always talking about how much we have to beat them, which always gets us hyped. It would be brilliant to replicate our previous form against them and to keep the East Midlands red.”

“I know a few of the girls at Derby County too so it would be nice to hold the bragging rights against them.”
